As Bill Wright got older, he continued that business, working as a car mechanic. He started working on lawn mowers to help landscapers be more efficient. Eventually, he created Wright Manufacturing to create and sell new commercial cutters.

As a result, the company's engineering teams have received more than 50 U.S. patents.
